It’s a 1950’s Christmas Part 1: The dress.

Hey Friends,

Yep, you heard right! a fun red Christmas dress, and you’ll get to see how I made it.

It all started when my grandmother gave me the sales catalog from Joann fabrics! I stopped by and the sales were just awesome! Simplicity was selling some patterns for $.99 each! And most of the fabric was 50% off! Enter a large display case of vintage patterns, I was worse then a kid in a candy store and I had to keep reminding myself not to take all the patterns. I ended up taking 6 of them (I know, I know, what a hog) and the lovely simplicity R10157 caught my eye. It is not your typical ’50’s pattern. In fact it looks a lot like I was history bounding the Regency era!!

So I found the perfect fabric and notions (though I forgot the zipper…….. thankfully I had one at home that worked) and I brought it all home. I worked hard and finished up the dress a few days ago. (I even finished in time to wear to a play that very evening!)

Anyways I hope you all enjoy this video. And don’t forget to like comment and subscribe to both my blog and my You tube channel!

Stay tuned for my next video where we are going to add all the wonderful 1950’s style accessories!
