Hello my dear friends, Today I wanted to share with you a poem I wrote in honor of all my friends out in Missouri who have each become so precious to me! I read it tearfully at the end of my graduation speech and thought you might enjoy reading it as well! This piece truly came from my heart and I feel in many ways one can process emotions somehow easier through poetry.

How can I say Goodbye to this precious place?
Here I have spent three years learning to sew fabric and lace.
Here I have made many a special friend,
And yet I must go, follow that path beyond the bend.
You have all been so lovely and kind
I was taught how to sew and how to mind
It's been a place of growth, strength, fears
A time of much laughter and tears
My heart has been fluttered and many times bruised
Yet these joys and hardships have somehow been used.
They forced me to stand tall and grow strong
Through it all you gave me a place to belong.
Many new people, many new places
Finding dear friends in new faces.
I learned to love stepping outgoing
My confidence grew and starting showing
And in a strange land of wild plains
I found a new way to make it home again
There was many times with anxiety fraught
I was loved, welcomed, encouraged, and taught.
I will always love this season
And all of you are the reason.
I can't bear to say goodbye to such dear friends
So I'll simply say 'until we meet again.'
