Changes

I run my fingers along the weather beaten wood of our barn, the splintered worn surface catches against my fingers. I throw myself upon the ground inhaling deeply the earthy green scent of grass. I look a little longer at each well known detail just to see if I can implant it upon my mind.

Like a child I feel like holding onto to everything with tight clenched fists unwilling to release the things I love.

Tomorrow I am leaving, leaving the only home I have ever known. I have no doubts that the Lord is truly in control and he is the one who has brought me to this place. But oh, how I will miss it. Even as I write this my mind and heart are not sure what to even feel.

It is like stepping into space or perhaps like walking on the moon. the air filled with tension, and excitement, sadness and joy.

I don’t really even feel ready for this move, but I don’t think we ever feel truly ready for anything. Yet God is willing to use us, even as we are!

My heart breaks with the thought of leaving those I love yet, flutters with the warmth and joy of those I will meet.

I have been preparing for this for months, I have said my goodbyes, and now there is only one thing left to do. Its time….. to go.

But first…

Thank you to all my faithful social media followers, you have supported me through my wild journey into history, sewing, and life!! Thank you for my friends, who have supported me through it all! Thank you for my family who have loved and nurtured me and shaped who I am, you are the best cheerleaders in the world!!! Thank you most of all to Jesus for being the best guide and closest friend I could ever ask for!
