Hello my dear Friends,
My brother recently told me of a conversation he had with a friend in which his friend joked that you have to be careful of how you say 2021, because it sounds a lot like 2020 won.”

Everyone seems to be doing videos and posts about 2020 so I decided to join in on the fun.
Wow, this past year has been quite the wild card. And despite the challenges that the entire world faced I have had a remarkably exciting year!
I started my blog almost exactly one year ago,
I now have a YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCuS-Jp1n3Q_6shtZiG2vRnA/videos (where I am posting videos of my sewing projects and other creative projects)
An Etsy Shop https://www.etsy.com/shop/OfaDifferentEra?ref=seller-platform-mcnav (where I am selling vintage hats and knitted mug cozies)
And a Pinterest https://www.pinterest.com/Girlofadifferentera/_saved/ (Where I am collecting inspirational pins)
(It would mean the world to me if you would check out my new platforms and subscribe!)

As far as my personal life in 2020 goes; The Lord called me to start wearing a head covering https://girlofadifferentera.com/2020/02/11/why-i-am-wearing-a-head-covering/, I got my license, an amazing friend paid and invited me to my first ever Writers Conference (I got to stay in a real Victorian mansion!!),

Through the Lords miraculous leading I know what I will be doing to further my education. (As I said there will be more on this later…there is a whole story behind it!) I went on my first independent vacation (with my two cousins and my sis.) I helped my sister move (twice) and etc. etc.

Not to mention there were lots of sewing projects, (which I won’t go into detail here) and other fun stuff I posted about this year! I do want mention that I am halfway done with my first custom order!!! (video of making the bodice will be coming out soon.)

And now before I close off the post I wanted to stop a moment and think about all that happened during last year. I know that for some people they lost loved ones, (If you are one of them then please except my feeble attempt to so “I’m very sorry”) While some people of gotten engaged or married. (Congratulations!) The point is lots of bad but also lots of good happened.

And so did 2020 win? Some of you may want to hang your head in defeat and answer yes, but I believe that 2020 didn’t win. God won, because he always wins. He took a lockdown and turned it into a way for families to bond and spend more time together, for people to step back and realize the important part of life, and He did so much more.
So I hope friend that you can rest assured that last year was not a waste and can charge forward into the new year with confidence knowing God is by your side!

Perhaps some other time I will talk about goals for this year but for now ado.
All the best,
Mindy
